It is the goal of the Rogers School District to implement a K-12 seamless curriculum that is aligned both horizontally and vertically. In general, the curriculum of the core courses has been refined through the TIA (Total Instructional Alignment) process. In addition, the AP courses have been through an audit conducted by the College Board . Other course work, not already mentioned, may have a course outline or syllabus available at this time, but will be going through the TIA document development process in the future. The TIA (Total Instructional Alignment) documents found on this website have been developed by and for the teachers of the Rogers School District. These are living documents open for review as needed. The development of these documents has been phased in over a two-year period beginning in January of 2007. As such, each document may be in different stages of development. However, we are currently moving towards a common format. It is our plan to continue the development, through its stages of creation and revision, to a place where the individual classroom teacher can implement the document in his/her classroom in order to raise the level of student learning and achievement. The creation of living documents allows teachers to continue professional dialogue and collaboration, leading to the continual refinement and improvement of our curriculum and instruction.
